One of the sketches I drew at RA Private View opening for CharlesI- King and Collector. Absolutely spectacular exhibition. A really fantastic night too. Managed to draw many of the guests and the key speakers.  

Platform 2

This time last year I was working on the Mural for Tunbridge Wells Station Platform 2

and now it's an award winning piece of public art that's been up 10 months.

Including a tribute to the man who invented Subbuteo , Sid Viscious and ofcourse disgusted of Tunbridge wells.

Caricatures for Dawn French's new book

Lots fun working with Dawn on her new book. Did masses of sketches and drawings. About 20 or so used in the final book. An ideal Christmas present for a loved one.

No blog for a while as I have been working on a mural 7 metres long.

Once printed it will be 21.4 metres. Massive.

Blast from the past

Drew this several years ago when a group of cartoonists appeared on Egg Heads. I was the spare wheel. So never appeared. All the more time to do caricatures of the panel. Gave them all prints of the portraits. They all loved their portraits.

Waxy O'Connors

Brilliant evening last week 3 November event drawing in Soho at Waxy O'Connor's 21st Birthday party. Fabulous Irish pub ,absolutely packed mostly with good looking Irish people with mad hair. Printed up the paper with company logo before hand. Worked really well as the corporate branding looked like a badge. Drew a caricature  every 4 minutes or so. Love drawing at parties near Xmas.  Will be doing a lot more cartoons as we come to Christmas party season.

A great way to thank your staff at the Office Party. A wonderful gift at your event.

Insane Society

Just had a plug in the Times of Tunbridge Wells, our local paper. Have drawn fold out CD cover for Insane Society's new album- Too left to be right-Too right to be wrong. Lots of political caricatues ; Tony Blair Ed Miliband , Jeremy Corbyn,Nogel Farage David Cameron, Boris Johnson,Teresa May. Plus a few others,Prince,Sid Viscious,David Bowie as Lazarus,Golem and the Mad Hatter. The Brexit referendum will run and run.

Swig and Vittle

22nd of October.Invited to draw at the opening the Swig and Vittle .The latest bar and restaurant in my favourite road,Camden Road in Tunbridge Wells. Drawing quick caricatures of punters and customers at the new venue. Had a huge queue all night for portraits.A great souvenir for customers and a cool way to launch the party and the new business.

Two friends drawn together but on separate bits of paper. They'll scan them and make one drawing.

Forest Hill

Last Thursday 21 Oct Had a fun filled evening drawing at the 1st Birthday Party of The Signal Pub Forest Hill. Thanks to Monty Clevely for hiring me after the opening of Islington Town House last month- blog and photos to follow- slightly backwards ,but there we are.

Fun to do a profile for a change. He was busy chatting so I just kept drawing.Slightly Romanesque.

21st Birthday Party

Really wonderful 21st birthday party in sunny Petersfield in in Midsummer. Magical evening. Lots of bright young things. I managed to lose my car keys once the sun went down. Flur;s lovely mum managed to find them with the help of a torch.

Gold and black theme for party.Hence swanky bow tie.

Open studios

Had lots of fun in the summer drawing at other artists studios.They were having private views and wanted someone to draw the guests. Everyone happy

Autumn Almanac

I have been very slack about jeeping a blog on this new.well newish website. It's been a productive summer since I started. I suppose that's why there's been no blog.

This is the largest number of caricatures I have ever done in one drawing. 38 portraits for an Officer's Mess. Not too much  of a mess hopefully.

I like to be punctual,if not a bit early for any job I'm doing. I rather over did it in August. I turned up for a wedding at the Clarendon Royal Hotel Gravesend. Turned out I was early.A year early.Oh well. it was a lovely evening for a drive.See you next year Amy.

Life's a beach

Oh to be in summer now that England's here. Drove to Whitstable Saturday evening to draw at a Wedding at the Marine Hotel, Tankerton Beach. Absolutely beautiful spot. When I arrived many of the guests were enjoying the evening sunshine on the grassy parade above the beach.

Wonderful wedding, very friendly people.Did loads of drawings. Lost count but 50 + people.

Only fly in the ice cream was that i left my ipad behind. Fortunately the lovely Jo from the Marine Hotel rang to say it was in the Hotel safe.

Congratulations Dan and Georgina. Enjoy your honeymoon in Italy.
